At Thembela Venue, we believe that true growth comes from stepping out of comfort and into the challenges that inspire greatness. This philosophy is what drove our founder, Cecile Birkenstock, to pursue her lifelong dream of creating a unique venue on the North Coast. Recognizing a need for exceptional event spaces in the area, she set out to fill this gap with elegance and innovation.
Cecile Birkenstock, founder and CEO of FunctionFoods, brings an impressive 29 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 25 years dedicated to the wedding sector. Her extensive background also includes 15 years working for industrial catering companies. With this wealth of experience, Cecile embarked on her most exciting venture yet: establishing Thembela Venue.
Thembela Venue is the culmination of Cecile Birkenstock's dream. Through her dedication, innovative funding, and clear vision, she has transformed this dream into a reality.
